Getting There (2012) was a movement task mirroring the often awkward job of shuttling one’s daily life through city streets. Through her own unrealistic ambitions, the artist offered an opportunity to those she encountered—the opportunity to provide the assistance that perhaps they have, at one time or another, themselves needed—bridging the gap of differences in locality, culture, and worldview.
