American Saturday
In Process
2020-2021

American Saturday is a series of abstract monoprints made with pigment and water from the New York City harbor. They are meditations on the climate future of coastal cities: pigment is first laid down, and then harbor water floods the page. Though the prints are inspired by Rorshach tests—referencing the politics of climate change— but the water goes where it will, moving across the paper plane until it finds a place to settle, just as it does in the world.
