N NOWACEK

An ongoing video performance series of absurd exercises like drawing straight horizontal lines simultaneously while running back and forth, climbing out of a sand pit on a beach, and failing at games of Perfection. Uselessly hard work and relentless trying are part of my White Anglo-Saxon Protestant inheritance. These performances are also inspired by the ways many women feel compelled to contort and comport themselves to paradoxical social expectations.
